ATP Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships

From 22nd – 28th February 2010 it’s the Dubai World Tennis Championships and Andy Murray will be hoping it will be third time lucky when he battles it out for the 2010 Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships again.

Murray, who was forced to quit his quarter-final match with Richard Gasquet last year in Dubai, made the most stunning of debuts at the Championships in 2008 with straight set wins over four-time Dubai Roger_Federer. He will be hoping for a repeat performance this year.

The Championship comprises the only ATP 500 and WTA Premier 5 sanctioned tournaments in the Middle East. The elite status makes Dubai not only the most highly-regarded tennis tournament in the region, but one of the most prestigious events on both the ATP and WTA Tour calendars, with a total estimated prize money of US $4 million to the winners this year.The Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, commences on Sunday 14th February 2010 with the WTA Tour event and continues with the ATP mens tournament from Monday, February 22nd – 27th.

U/19 Youth Cricket World Cup 2010 in New Zealand

The 2010 year will full of exciting cricket games around the globe. In the early of the year 2010 the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2010 will take place in New Zealand between 16-30 Januarys. The first choice of the tournament host nation was Kenya but due to improper infrastructure, New Zealand was awarded the tournament.
